रे मयूर नृत्यसि रमणीयम् ।

Translation:

O peacock, you dance (so) beautifully. Your dance is attractive to eyes. You shine as a king of birds. You capture the mind of people.

You carry a crown on head. Your plumage having jewels shines. This beautiful feather is your wealth. O peacock, you dance (so) beautifully.

When the clouds roar in the sky, really on earth people gets delighted. (They) happily praise god. Similarly, you praise that god of rain by own melodious voice. O peacock, you dance (so) beautifully.

You carry Sharada on your back who gives ample of wealth of knowledge. You are famous as national bird. Having seen the cloud filled with fresh water, o peacock, you dance (and) dance. O peacock, you dance (so) beautifully.
